The manufacturer has launched a new advertising strategy that will see its vehicles, particularly the new Crafter, appear on the LED perimeter boards surrounding pitches hosting matches in the Premier League, Championship, FA Cup, Carling Cup and Scottish Premier League throughout the season. The brand will also be featured on fixed hoarding advertising boards at football grounds.
Aside from domestic fixtures, Volkswagen made its international debut in advertisements at England’s 2012 European Championship qualifier against Bulgaria in September.
Mark Hopkins, VW Commercial’s marketing boss, said the campaign would provide the manufacturer with huge exposure to core customers.
“This new strategy offers a great opportunity for us and uses a strong platform to build awareness of the brand to our core audience of van owners and drivers.”
