Renault has confirmed UK specs and prices for the updated version of its Master E-Tech electric van.

The model has been upgraded with a larger, 52kWh battery, allowing a range of up to 126 miles between charges under official WLTP testing.

A 20-80% charge is possible in five hours using a 7kW wallbox, while the same charge with a 22kW DC charger takes 90 minutes.

Power is from a 76hp motor, and top speed is limited to 55mph.

The Master E-Tech is available with panel van, chassis cab and platform cab bodystyles – the former with the Advance trim level, and the latter two with the entry-level Start spec.

Standard equipment with Start trim includes electrically adjustable heated door mirrors, a full steel bulkhead, a height-adjustable driver’s seat with adjustable lumbar support, DAB radio, air conditioning, Renault’s Grip Xtend traction system, hill start assist, and trailer swing assist.

Further equipment with Advance trim includes automatic lights and wipers, chrome front grille trim, a fully-adjustable suspension-type driver’s seat, a 12V load area power socket, a wide-view mirror, rear parking sensors, a rear running board and handles, and eight or ten anchorage points depending on wheelbase.

Prices, excluding VAT and including the UK Government’s plug-in van grant, start at £36,800 for a chassis cab model, while panel vans start at £43,400.

Orders open on 1 August, with the first deliveries due in September.
