Schindler UK has added 15 electric vans to its fleet with support from fleet management and leasing company Athlon UK.
The Volkswagen ID. Buzz vans are the first step towards the lift company electrifying its commercial vehicle fleet, having already adopted 100% EV company cars.
The vans were supplied by Volkswagen Van Centre Sheffield, with graphics by Mediafleet and racking from Sortimo.
Schindler UK fleet manager Paul Jackson said: “Schindler UK recently appointed Athlon as the preferred fleet provider and this has proved to be a highly successful transition. With the support from the Athlon team, Schindler have been able to significantly reduce the time spent on administration and management of our fleet.
“While our company cars are already at 100% electric, Athlon have been incredibly supportive in assisting Schindler on the commercial vehicle EV journey.
“We look forward to continued support from Athlon in supporting Schindler to achieve our sustainability targets with our commercial fleet.”
Athlon UK CCO Lesley Slater said: “We are delighted to support Schindler in their journey towards a greener future. These electric vans are just the beginning of our relationship as Schindler transitions to a fully electrified commercial fleet.”
