Alliance Healthcare UK, a distributor of pharmaceutical, medical and heath products has added 300 Renault Master panel vans to its fleet.
The company will use the vehicles to assist in delivery of its products to nationwide retailers, with the new vans replacing existing Masters.
Built to the firm’s specifications, the conversion – which was completed by the French manufacturer’s specialist division, Renault Tech – includes ambient temperature controls to ensure the supplies are transported at a constant temperature.
The vans are powered by the company’s 110hp 2.3-litre diesel engine which emits 197g/km of CO2 and returns 37.2mpg, and are finished in the ‘Business’ trim level, with standard equipment including DAB radio with Bluetooth, electric front windows, hill start assist and Grip Xtend, which helps improve traction when driving on loose surfaces.
In addition, the client has specified the vans with a number of optional extras including aircon, 270-degree opening rear doors, all-weather tyres and a 68mph speed limiter.
“To ensure that we meet the latest changes to the regulatory requirements to the delivery and control of pharmaceutical products, Alliance Healthcare commissioned work to purchase climate control vehicles to replace some of our ageing fleet,” said Frank Stanley, group fleet manager for Alliance Healthcare. “After extensive trials and testing by the fleet and operations teams, working with the wider group and a competitive tender process, we have selected Renault as our supplier.”
“This solution incorporates fully insulated load compartments in the vehicles, combined with a climate control and temperature monitoring system – making the new generation of vehicles fully compliant with the regulations,” he added.
