Peugeot has introduced a new LCV conversions programme based on its Boxer large van.
The Built for Business range includes tipper, dropside, Luton, low-floor Luton, box body and curtainside conversions, all of which will be based on the Boxer 335 chassis and powered by the 2.0-litre 163hp Blue HDi engine range with six-speed manual transmission.
Standard equipment includes air conditioning, an uprated battery and revised dual-leaf rear suspension with anti-roll bar.
The conversions conform to either European Whole Vehicle Type Approval or National Small Series Type Approval regulations and can be ordered from any Peugeot dealer or Business Centre.
All the conversions carry the same warranty as the base vehicle.
Tipper conversions are based on the L2 single cab and L3 crew cab models, with payloads of 1,222kg and 1,033kg respectively.
Dropsides are available based on the L2 single cab, L3 single cab and L3 crew cab, with payloads of 1,441kg, 1,366 kg and 1,253kg respectively.
Lutons are available in L3 single cab or L4 single cab versions, with payloads of 1,147kg and 979kg respectively.
Curtainsides are available with either the L3 single cab or L4 single cab, with payloads of 965kg and 879kg respectively.
Box bodys come in either L3 single cab or L4 single cab form, with payloads of 1,051kg and 983kg respectively.
The low-floor Luton is only available in one model, with a payload of 1,050kg.
Prices are yet to be released.
PSA Group head of national specialist fleets Richard Abbott said: “With the launch of Built for Business light CV conversions, Peugeot is providing certainty for customers that they are buying a vehicle where all parts of the conversion are built to the same exacting standard as the base vehicle.
“All Built for Business light CV conversions will be available through the Peugeot dealer network and will carry a full warranty. We can guarantee quick delivery, excellent payload and competitive prices.”
