Renault has opened UK orders for its new electric large van, the Master E-Tech.
The news follows the opening of orders for diesel Masters last month.
The new Master E-Tech features a 143hp electric motor, and an 87kWh battery, allowing a range of up to 285 miles under official WLTP testing. DC charging speeds of up to 130kW allow 142 miles of range to be added in 30 minutes, while a 22kW AC charger can charge from 10% to 100% in just under four hours.
The van is available in medium and long wheelbase versions, with load spaces of 11m3 to 14.8m3. There is also a choice of 3.5t and 4.0t models.
Payload is up to 1,625kg, and there is a 2.5t towing capability.
Standard equipment throughout the range includes Renault’s OpenR Link infotainment system, with a 10in screen and wired and wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity.
Driver assistance systems include lateral stability assist, automatic emergency braking, trailer stability assist, and intelligent speed assist.
Prices for the new Master E-Tech start at £37,500, excluding VAT and including the UK Government’s Plug-in Van Grant. That’s for a van in 3.5t medium wheelbase spec, with prices rising to £38,250 for a 3.5t long wheelbase, £40,500 for a 4.0t long wheelbase, and £41,250 for a 4.0t long wheelbase.
The first customer deliveries are due by the end of this year.
