Mercedes-Benz has confirmed UK specs for its latest eSprinter van, which is available to order now.
The new eSprinter will have a WLTP combined range of up to 271 miles – more than double that of the previous version – thanks to a 113kWh battery. Vans with this battery can be ordered now, with prices starting at £73,260, excluding VAT and the UK Government’s plug-in van grant. Versions with an 81kWh battery are due to be added to the range later this year.
DC charging speeds of up to 115kW will mean a 113kWh battery can be charged from 10-80% in around 42 minutes.
The new eSprinter is available with a choice of two electric motors, offering either 136hp or 204hp, and two trim levels – Pro and Select. The model is launching as an ‘extra-long’ L3 van, measuring just under seven metres in length, with an L2 option also due to join the range subsequently.
Standard driver assistance systems include autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, blind spot assist, drowsiness warning, and adaptive cruise control with intelligent speed assist.
The latest generation of the MBUX infotainment system operates via a 10.25in touchscreen. Digital services accessible via Mercedes Me include telediagnostics and maintenance management, accident recovery and roadside assistance, remote locking and unlocking, pre-entry climate control, and charger location and range information.
A standard integrated service package will cover the cost of the vehicle’s first four services within the first four years of its life, and free Europe-wide roadside assistance is included for up to 30 years. There’s also a three-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and an eight-year/160,000 km battery capacity warranty – the latter can be optionally extended to 300,000km.
The first UK deliveries of the new eSprinter are expected in May.
