EV manufacturer Skywell has revealed its new large van at the Paris Motor Show.
Known for now as the 233, Skywell says a production name and pricing for the model will be announced when it makes its expected UK debut at next year’s Commercial Vehicle Show.
The model will initially be available with a choice of two lengths (5,490mm and 5,990mm) and two heights (2,200mm and 2,700mm), with load volumes of around 9.5-13m3.
There will be a choice of 3.5t or 4.25t gross vehicle mass, the latter with a payload of up to 1,755kg.
EV battery capacities of 88kWh and 105kWh will be available, both paired with a 204hp electric motor.
Equipment is set to include LED lights, a six-way adjustable driver’s seat, a 15.6in touchscreen, wireless phone connectivity and charging, and keyless entry and start.
Available driver assistance systems will include intelligent cruise assist, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, and intelligent speed assist.
Skywell was formerly known as Nanjing Golden Dragon, and established itself as one of China’s leading electric bus manufacturers before becoming part of Skyworth Group in 2011. The new large van is the manufacturer’s first commercial vehicle to make its global debut in Europe.
