Mercedes-Benz has announced upgrades to its Vito medium van.

Among the new features is the incorporation of digital services from the Mercedes Pro Connect system from this summer.

These products from the firm’s connectivity and fleet management solution are said to help increase efficiency, lower operating costs and improve the availability of fleet vehicles.

They also facilitate a fleet communication, with the aim of allowing more effective fleet control and reducing the burden on drivers.

The services are fulfilled by a pre-installed communications module with a SIM card.

The van is also getting cosmetic tweaks including new exterior paint colours and alloy wheel designs.

An upgraded highbeam assist system is also available, along with new sliding roller bases for the seats, Mercedes-Benz emergency call system and breakdown management function, and a redesigned instrument cluster.

Mercedes has also announced a new range of diesel engines taken from its car range, although so far these are only with the Tourer passenger carrying variant.
