Newcomer number one will be a single-cab 4×2 Rodeo powered by the same 136hp 2.5-litre 16-valve common rail diesel that's used in the current double cab line-up married to a five-speed gearbox. Approximate payload capacity with be 1,000kg and Isuzu believes it could sell 500 to 600 annually.
Newcomer number two will be a 163hp 3.0-litre common rail diesel automatic version of the Rodeo Denver Max LE double cab. A manual 3.0-litre will not be up for grabs initially, but could be introduced later.
Britain's Prodrive has been boosting the 2.5-litre to 167hp at Isuzu UK's behest, but that arrangement looks set to be scrapped.
