Services company H Clarke and Sons Group has equipped its van fleet with Inseego telematics.
The company has rolled out the system to an initial 44 vans, used by its team of engineers.
The system is said to have been chosen based on its ability to deliver an advanced tracking tool that was reliable and easy-to-use.
It is enabling H Clarke and Sons Group to access operational performance data, saving time keeping track of working hours, vehicle usage and SLA compliance. The company is also using the system to monitor individual driver behaviour and speeding events, allowing it to implement targeted action plans to help keep employees safe and ensure vehicles are not subject to excessive wear.
H Clarke and Sons Group fleet and plant manager Gavin Loynes said: “We have a diverse multi-skilled group of companies, offering a wide range of plumbing, heating, wastewater, sewage, air conditioning and asbestos removal services, which is dispersed across North Yorkshire and Scotland.
“We recognised the need for a single system that could be used across all parts of the business, which would help us maintain and improve productivity levels, customer service and driver safety.
“The aim moving forward is to transfer all our vehicles to the same fleet telematics system when appropriate to further boost the achievable operational, efficiency and performance benefits on offer. Inseego has gone above and beyond to ensure the roll-out of the system was hassle-free, without any unnecessary disruption to the business.”
Inseego managing director Steve Thomas said: “Most vehicle operators want a telematics solution that is highly functional, to support all aspects of their fleet operation, but at the same time straightforward and simple to use.
“The user experience is so important when trying to get the most out of fleet technology and this is why companies such as H Clarke and Sons Group are choosing Inseego.”
