The Farizon SV electric van is set to enter the UK market.

The brand, part of China’s Geely Group, is being introduced here by Jameel Motors, which is launching the vehicle in several countries.

A large van, the SV is claimed to have been designed specifically to meet the needs of European fleets.

From launch, three vehicle lengths and three heights will be offered in the UK, along with a choice of 67kWh and 83kWh batteries, with a further 106kWh battery option due to join the range subsequently.

Built on a bespoke modular platform, the SV’s design is said to feature cell-to-pack technology which increases battery capacity by 10%, reduces weight by 4%, and improves body rigidity by 20%.

The SV is also said to feature the first ever dual-redundancy drive-by-wire platform in the global van market, which is said to reduce stopping distance by 10%, increase range by 5%, and improve steering response by 300%. It is also said to help increase load capacity and provide an extra-low loading height.

UK sales are set to begin during the first half of 2025. Full specs and an exact on-sale date are yet to be announced.
