Moving up the weight scale, Paneltex was promoting an all-electric refrigerated vehicle based around a Fiat Professional Ducato converted to battery power by BD Automotive.
Able to transport 1.1 tonnes of goods, it is a 4.25-tonner. It can be driven on an ordinary car driver’s licence thanks to a government concession aimed at encouraging the use of zero-emission vehicles.
With a chilled section at the front, an ambient section at the back and equipped with an electric GAH fridge unit, the body is accessible from three sides, including through barn-type doors at the rear.
