Van Monster proved that history and longevity lead to a successful, high quality service when it picked up the Van Dealer of the Year prize at the 2022 What Van? Awards.
Van Monster’s success is built on its links with sister company Northgate Vehicle Hire, itself the largest UK light commercial vehicle provider, from which Van Monster – founded in 2004 – sources most of its vehicles. This means that customers get a nearly-new or used vehicle with a known history, while all vehicles are put through stringent checks to ensure they are roadworthy and reliable. In addition, a comprehensive after sales service provides added piece of mind, with Van Monster also having access to Northgate’s UK-wide network of mechanics and workshops; in the unlikely event of a problem with a vehicle after purchase, it can be sorted easily.
As well as its network of branches, Van Monster also offers delivery and click-and-collect services.
Van Monster’s independent status means it can offer customers impartial advice on which manufacturer’s vehicles will suit their needs, with a wide range of makes and models to choose from. Plus, if a customer finds a cheaper equivalent model elsewhere, Van Monster offers a price match guarantee. The company also offers a wide range of flexible finance options, covering outright purchase or hire purchase.
Rather than resting on its laurels, Van Monster took steps last year to further improve its service with the launch of the Van Monster Difference. Built around customer feedback, it is a wide package of free measures including: A 14-day/500 mile money back/vehicle swap guarantee, a free six-month/10,000 mile comprehensive warranty including wear and tear, a part-exchange offering including vehicles with outstanding finance (which Van Monster can settle), seven-day customer support including out-of-hours, 24/7 breakdown recovery for six months; 30 days of free GAP insurance; accident aftercare support for non-fault accidents, courtesy vehicles, a discounted fuel card (subject to eligibility) saving on average 7p per litre on Esso Synergy fuels and a smart GPS key finder.
An aftermarket extended warranty product is also available, which also includes wear and tear.
Commenting on Van Monster winning Van Dealer of the Year at the What Van? Awards 2022, managing director Gary Sullivan said: “We’re delighted to receive this award, and I’d like to take this opportunity to recognise the hard work, dedication and passion of the whole Van Monster team.
“Across our branches, sales, customer service and operations teams, we are all committed to helping our customers find the best van for their needs.
“It’s fantastic to be recognised by the judges for the strength of our offering – and in particular for the Van Monster Difference – which is the strongest used vehicle package in the marketplace offered to our customers at no additional cost.
“Our customer feedback backs this up – with a consistently excellent Trust Pilot score of 4.5.”
