The IVECO Daily Mission Awards 2023 saw the most competitive shortlists to date.
The IVECO Daily Mission Awards – now in its third successful year – recognises operators who use their IVECO Daily to complete an eclectic mix of missions. The quarterly winners of the construction and utility, grounds maintenance and forestry, specialist vehicles, and delivery categories were packed full of worthy winners.
Broadcaster and journalist Laura Winter hosted the awards with special guest and Britain’s Strongest Man Adam Bishop helping to present them.
Construction & Utility – Coppard Plant Hire Ltd
The construction and utility award was won by Coppard Plant Hire Ltd with its attention-grabbing IVECO Daily 3.5 tonne (t) van (35S14 Hi-Matic). Supplied by Northern Commercials, this vehicle adds to a Daily Dropside and Tipper already on Coppard’s fleet – yet the company was in need of a highly durable van capable of towing heavy equipment. With its impressive 3.5t-towing capacity and proven track record in this rugged industry, the Daily was the perfect tool for the job.
Grounds Maintenance & Forestry – Heritage Trees Ltd
Supplied by IVECO Retail Ltd, the winner of the grounds maintenance and forestry category was Heritage Trees Ltd with its new IVECO Daily (35C21HA8). With 20 years of experience in arboriculture, Heritage Trees knows exactly what it takes for a vehicle to thrive in this industry. Equipped with the Construction Pack that features tyre pressure monitoring, a cross-axle differential lock and a protective crank case sump guard, this Daily can freely venture from paved roads.
Specialist Vehicle – Q Catering Supplies Ltd
There were plenty of great entries for the specialist vehicle category, but one vehicle really stood out for the judges. Q Catering Supplies Ltd took full advantage of the IVECO Daily’s impressive load capacity while the Paneltex fridge/freezer supplied box body features an innovative moveable interior bulkhead. Offering the ability to vary the mix of ambient, chilled and frozen foods aids in reducing energy costs and improving sustainability. A smooth eight-speed Hi-Matic auto gearbox boosts driver comfort and overall refinement. The need to perform multiple stops and often in urban spaces also utilises the Daily’s class-leading turning circle.
Delivery – Heltor Ltd
Delivery missions can be demanding, especially when space is at a premium and you need to transport considerable cargo. Heltor Ltd collected the delivery award for its South West Truck & Van supplied 7.2t IVECO Daily tankers (70C18H). Downsizing from a 7.5-t vehicle has greatly reduced running costs while the Daily’s strong truck-based chassis accommodates a large Magyar 4,500L tank. Easily navigating the tight country lanes of Devon, this vehicle is exceptionally fit for purpose.
