A new range of van security products has been launched by TVL Security.
The company says the new Protect+ range builds on its existing Protect range to offer an increased number of features and benefits.
Elements of Protect+ include a patented high-security dimple key designed to prevent authorised users from creating illegitimate copies, ‘floating’ anti-drill pins installed within the lock’s cylinder and designed to prevent thieves picking the lock, and anti-drill plates to defend the locking mechanism from being attacked or manipulated from the vehicle’s exterior.
In addition, key replacements are also only available directly through TVL Security and will only be fulfilled once requests are validated using the Police National Computer (PNC) and the International Security Register (ISR). Legitimate owners are verified by cross-checking a unique code issued with each key – stored on the ISR – against the vehicle’s registration on the PNC, which can be used to flag whether a van is marked as stolen.
Protect+ also comes with a two-year warranty.
TVL Group managing director Laura Moran said: “Our existing portfolio is doing a fantastic job in keeping vans and tools secure nationwide, but we know that thieves are constantly trialling new methods to illegally access private property. That’s why we’re delighted to bring Protect+ to market.
“Our enhanced Protect+ offering has been developed through meaningful conversations with fleet managers and business owners across the country, as well as hours of research and development.
“We are certain that Protect+ provides unrivalled quality, affordability and security performance for the aftermarket.”
