Electric Citroen vans are joining the fleet of Big Issue Group as part of a three-year partnership.
A total of 16 vans will be involved, a mixture of e-Berlingo and e-Dispatch models.
They will be used to distribute the Big Issue magazine, initially in locations including Bournemouth, Bristol, Bath, Norwich, and Newcastle, with more to follow.
The partnership is intended to help Big Issue Group make its delivery process more sustainable, and deal with the introduction of low-emission zones.
Big Issue Group managing director of commercial Russell Blackman said: “Citroen’s market-leading approach to innovation and affordability of electric vehicles is the exact reason why they are the ideal partner to work with Big Issue Group.
“Our partnership will allow us to make even greater strides in the support and services we provide for the most marginalised across the country. In cities and remote, rural locations, we will be able to respond quickly when our vendors need us the most.
“At Big Issue Group we are excited for the next three years working alongside Citroën to drive change for good.”
