Iveco dealer Northern Commercials has set up its first dedicated van sales centre. It's on the Gelderd Road in Leeds — a major route into the city — with service and parts support provided by the company's workshop in Morley, 1.5 miles down the road. “We are projecting sales of up to 200 vans from the new site this year,” says dealer principal, Roger Peel. If the venture is a success then Northern may decide to open more van centres in other parts of West Yorkshire during the next 18 months.
Further south, LDV has appointed a new dealer in Aldridge, not far from Walsall. Owned by MAN-ERF dealer Aquila Group, the operation will trade as West Midlands LDV.
