The S pack adds an alarm, a full-height bulkhead and an electric pack that includes powered windows, electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors and an in-cab button for the central locking.
Specifying all these items individually would cost a total of £545; all prices exclude VAT. Buy them as a package and you pay £460.
The SE pack includes all the foregoing items plus manual air conditioning and an upgraded driver's seat with an armrest. It will set you back £1,000, but that's £195 less than you would pay if you purchased all these goodies separately says VW.
Used values specialist CAP Monitor predicts that ordering the S will add £150 to a Transporter's second-hand price after three years. The SE will boost it by £500.
