Vauxhall has announced prices and specs for its new Vivaro medium van.

The model is available to order now, with the first examples set to arrive in dealerships in late summer.

There are three trim levels – Edition, for which prices start at £21,240; Sportive, priced from £24,140, and Elite, priced from £25,540 (all excluding VAT).

Two vehicle lengths are available – 4.95m and 5.30m – and three body styles – panel van, double cab and platform chassis.

The new Vivaro has a payload of up to 1,400kg, cargo capacity of up to 6.6m3 and a towing capacity of up to 2,500kg.

Engine options – all approved to Euro 6.2 standard – are 1.5-litre diesels with 100hp or 120hp, and 2.0-litre diesels with 120hp, 150hp and 180hp.

All come with a six-speed manual gearbox, except for the 180hp engine which comes with an eight-speed automatic.

The auto will then be made available with the 2.0-litre 120hp engine from 2020.

Standard equipment with Edition trim includes hill start assist, electrically operated and heated door mirrors, cruise control, and digital radio with Bluetooth.

Sportive trim adds kit including a 7in touchscreen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, air conditioning, rear parking sensors, a load-through bulkhead, six-way drivers seat adjustment, LED daytime running lights, driver drowsiness alert, automatic headlights and automatic windscreen wipers.

Elite trim adds further equipment including sat-nav, front parking sensors, lane departure warning, speed limit recognition, intelligent speed adaption, high beam assist and blind spot alert.
