The Scottish Fire and Rescue service has taken 11 Ford Transit Couriers on to its fleet.
The Couriers will be used for carrying firefighters and equipment to prevent fires in business and public areas. They will also be used in public demonstrations.
The service has also taken on 15 double-cab Transit Custom vans and 10 Ranger pick-up trucks since the start of the year.
“It’s a small van but the load space within is excellent and more than adequate for the job, but our chief concerns are whole-life costs and ease of maintenance,” said Scott Roberts, SFRS manager of the Courier.
“When you have a region to cover as large as Scotland, an extensive dealer network is vital and of course, Ford has a dealer in nearly every large town.”
