
Kia has revealed specs and prices for its new PV5 electric van.
In the UK, the model is launching with a choice of L2/H1 Cargo, Crew, and Passenger, and L2 Chassis Cab versions, with further options due to join the range next year.
There’s a choice of 51.5kWh ‘standard range’ and 71.2kWh ‘long range’ battery pack options for all versions except the Crew, which is only being offered with the 51.5kWh option. With the Cargo version, these battery options offer WLTP ranges of up to 181 miles and 247 miles respectively.
The standard range battery comes with a 122hp electric motor, and the long range battery with a 163hp motor.
There is a choice of Essential and Plus equipment grades. Standard equipment with the Essential grade includes all-round LED lighting, automatic air conditioning, a 7.5in driver display screen, a 12.9in infotainment touchscreen with sat-nav, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, forward collision avoidance assist, highway driving assist, and lane keep assist.
Further features of the Plus grade include vehicle-to-load and V2X capability, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless phone charging, blind-spot collision avoidance, safe exit warning, and rear cross traffic collision avoidance.
Kia has announced pricing for the PV5 Cargo Essential, excluding VAT and the UK Government’s Plug-in Van Grant, of £27,645 with the standard range battery, and £30,145 with the long range battery.
The PV5 Passenger starts at £32,995.
Pre-orders for the PV5 Cargo and Passenger will open on 1 May. The first deliveries are due from late 2025.
