New entry-level Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo launched

Volkswagen has introduced a new entry-level version of its ID. Buzz Cargo electric van.

It features a smaller, 59kWh battery, paired with a 170hp electric motor, allowing a range of 200 miles on the official WLTP cycle, with load capacity (3.9m³) and payload (692kg) unchanged from other ID. Buzz Cargo models.

Towing capacity is 1,000kg, while a !65kW charging capability allows a 5-80% battery recharge within 30 minutes.

The new powertrain comes with the Commerce trim level, with standard equipment including LED headlights, three front seats with a heated driver’s seat, front and rear parking sensors, a 12.9in infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, and multiple USB-C ports.

The 59kWh ID. Buzz Cargo is available to order now, priced at £35,960 excluding VAT. The first deliveries are expected in late Spring.
