A new feature designed to save delivery drivers time with each stop has been introduced by Ford Pro.
The new Delivery Assist system can automatically turn off the van’s engine, close the windows, lock the doors, or switch on the hazard warning lights.
In addition, once the delivery is made, the van can be unlocked using the integral key-free entry system, while pressing the brake pedal restarts the engine and restores the windows to their previous position.
As well as saving time, the system is also intended to provide peace of mind for drivers and fleet managers by ensuring vans remain secure, and to help drivers concentrate by reducing the amount of tasks they need to remember.
The system is available with 2025 E-Transits, and automatic diesel Transits. It will also be available with E-Transit Customs and automatic ICE Transit Customs from this summer.
