The IVECO Daily Mission Awards recognises and celebrates operators that use IVECO Daily vehicles to their fullest potential to complete their most challenging missions – and 2024 has been no exception. Throughout the year, an impressive array of shortlisted vehicles from each core category have been announced on these pages, and now the time has come to announce the winners of this year’s IVECO Daily Mission Awards! The prestigious awards were presented to the winners at a special black-tie event, hosted by broadcaster and journalist Laura Winter, alongside special guests, two-time Britain’s Strongest Man Adam Bishop, and British Olympics icon Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards.

Construction & Utilities – O’Connor Utilities

Taking the crown in the Construction & Utilities category was Manchester’s O’Conner Utilities. Its mission supports the power, water, rail and telecom sectors, and is met by its fleet of 30 IVECO Daily panel vans, supplied by Northern Commercials. Complete with a bespoke Vanliners cargo area and safety elements, these vehicles never fall short of their demanding requirements. 

Grounds Maintenance & Forestry – Down To Earth Trees

Down To Earth Trees sheared through the competition to claim the Grounds Maintenance & Forestry award. Supplied by Northern Commercials, its IVECO Daily has a bespoke body built by Southern Van Hire, a 3.0-litre engine, durable clutch and eco-tyres – all maintained on a 2XL Repair and Maintenance contract, which keeps running costs predictable and affordable. 

Specialist Vehicle – The AA

Going for gold in the Specialist Vehicle category is The AA – and this 4.25t IVECO eDaily is as specialist as they come! With clever, lockable storage spaces for tools, firefighting equipment and first aid supplies – not to mention a 3,250kg towing capacity that can relocate a 4×4, and a comfortable cab for stranded motorists – The AA has truly maximised eDaily’s versatile DNA with this ambitious vehicle. Converted by Victory Conversions, and supplied by Northern Commercials, this vehicle was pressed into service immediately and proudly serves as part of The AA’s zero-emissions fleet.

Delivery – Collins Seafood

Keeping the nations chippies afloat, and netting the Delivery Award, is Collins Seafood. Its fleet of 14 7.2-tonne IVECO Daily freezer box vans cover over 30,000 miles per year and are built with comfort and practicality in mind. Supplied by North East Truck & Van, and complete with a body build from Solomon Commercials, these vehicles keep fish fresh from the first to last mile of the journey.

Livery of the Year – Collins Seafood

Another award win for Collins Seafood saw it net ‘Livery of the Year’ with Mission Award audience members voting for the eye-catching Daily box van. Its deep shade of blue and seafaring graphics captivated the room, making for a popular winner.

Bodybuilder of the Year – Bloomfields Horseboxes

The IVECO Daily range is built with bodybuilders in mind. Utilising its truck-based ladder chassis, bodybuilders can create specialist bodies for all purposes, which is exactly what horsebox specialists Bloomfields have used a 7.2-tonne IVECO Daily for. The comfortable and spacious build, that can house up to three ponies or two horses, as well as their two-legged friends, makes them the talk of the paddock.

eDaily Innovation – Torton Bodies

Torton Bodies lightbulb moment of using an IVECO eDaily for a special mobile library build scoops them the eDaily Innovation Award. The 7.2-tonne eDaily allows for smooth driving and class-leading manoeuvrability, whilst delivering its all-important mission free of emissions.

2024 IVECO Daily Mission Award Overall Winner – The AA 

The AA has always strived to innovate, with the latest technologies being deployed to insure the very best recovery service is offered to its members – something its IVECO eDaily unequivocally contributes to. Claiming the ultimate prize of 2024 IVECO Daily Mission Awards Overall Winner, The AA’s IVECO is a worthy addition to the growing Mission Awards hall of fame.
