Volkswagen has confirmed UK specs and prices for the new, seventh-generation version of its Transporter medium van.
The model is launching as a panel van, with orders opening in January. The range will subsequently expand to include Kombi, Shuttle, and double-cab chassis models, all as standard or long wheelbase versions.
The panel van is also being introduced with a choice of standard or long wheelbases, and with a choice of 110hp or 150hp diesel engines, or a 136hp full EV. A plug-in hybrid will follow in 2026.
At launch there will be a choice of Commerce, Commerce Plus, and Commerce Pro trim levels.
Standard equipment with Commerce trim will include LED headlights and DRLs, power-adjustable and heated external mirrors, a six-way adjustable driver’s seat with manually adjustable two-way lumbar support, a 12in driver display, a 13in infotainment touchscreen, cruise control, rear parking sensors, and keyless start.
Further features with Commerce Plus spec will include body-coloured exterior trim, front parking sensors, a reversing camera, front and rear mud flaps, keyless start with Safelock, and an anti-theft alarm system.
Further features with Commerce Pro spec will include alloy wheels, heated seats, air conditioning with automatic control, wireless phone charging, additional USB-C charging ports, adaptive cruise control, blind spot assist and exit warning system, and a laminated heated windscreen made of heat-reflecting glass.
Electric Transporters will only be available with the Commerce Plus and Commerce Pro trim levels at launch, with some spec differences.
Diesel Transporter prices, excluding VAT, will start at £30,995 for a 110hp Commerce standard wheelbase. Prices for the EV, also excluding VAT, will start at £41,965 for a Commerce Plus standard wheelbase.
